For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box.
When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totalling $95,000. He asked her about the contents. "When we were to be married," she said, "My grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll."
The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness. "Honey," he said, "that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?" "Oh," she said, "That’s the money I made from selling the dolls.”

Oh my goodness I love this. so sweet and yet so true.
dear Whiteshadow,
it's right that the secret of good relationship is not talk too much, keep quiet, and I think, response their attitude by love and something positive that can create a well condition...
I have do that to my friends and my boyfriend, and it create a good effect in our relationship, but also make their aware of every good things that we have done
I wonder what the dolls sold for?
Oh, I love it!! lol
The problems is I don't know how to crochet. But I have some ideas like sewing or making jewelry. Great post Whiteshadow.
Dear White Shadow,
I love this story. His wife have a great patience. But I disagree if my wife just keep quiet if angry with me. I want she let me know of what was wrong to me. Conversely from me to her. Then we realized ourselves each. Stay open and accepting the lack of each.
That's why marriage unite each lack between man and woman, which need each other.
Accumulating the ire will become a bomb and will burst out someday. That's what I see from my friend marriage.
I'm sorry, just sharing and not intend to teach everyone here.
This is a good post for a couple. There is a patience inside. Thanks for sharing, my friend.
Hi Queen-size funny bone: Thanks for the compliments, I just thought people would love the story but it is really sweet.
Maybe some of us will learn from the lesson.
Dear Niar, I know you are a very open-minded person and your bf is lucky to have you. Let's try to live what is best for every relationship.
Hi Power Up Love: Good to see you back, as I haven't heard from you for a while. Anyways, I have no idea how much it cost but maybe you can start looking around the store to give you an idea and you can tell me :)
Hi Rhonda: Yes I love it too! Thanks for passing by.
Dear Maria: I think it doesn't matter what you can make, the lesson is we don't have to focus ourselves to anger instead we have to look for some outlet that can make us feel better and save the relationship.
Dear Tikno: I definitely understand what you meant to be transparent with what we feel to our partner. But in times where there is fire, we can not stoke to make it bigger. The best thing is to cool down and wait for the time and talk about it. Another reason to be quite is because, once you have said it, you can not take it back. Anyway, thanks for sharing your heart's view and thanks for calling me a "friend".
Let all keep the faith...
WhiteShadow
I guess I'm a little bit left behind for this beautiful story. :)
For me it's sweet and smart. I like the way the wife sell the doll. It's no use to keep all the things we hate deep inside. It's good to just let it go and keep it away from us. It's great to turn it to something that useful and make us happy.
Great story, WHITEShadow.
Dear Aldhis, Yes, it is will be great if we can do something worthwhile other than sitting in hatred.
You're not too late yet...
