Halloween, Trick or Treat?

Every holiday you keep, you probably have an idea of what it commemorates. If you were asked WHY you observed Christmas, you would probably say,- "To honor the birth of Jesus Christ." If you were asked WHY you observed Easter, you would probably say,- "To acknowledge the resurrection of Jesus."

But think for a moment. . .WHY HALLOWEEN? Just what does its observance commemorate? Do you really want to participate in a festival that has its roots in DEMONISM, demanding HUMAN SACRIFICE?

Satan's agents, who represent themselves as Christians, do not want Christians to know that Halloween is about human sacrifice and they definitely do not want them to pray against it. That is the reason they do not mention the need to pray against ritual human sacrifice and instead, urge Christians to participate in the trick-or-treat ritual which represents human sacrifice. Since the trick-or-treat ritual looks cute on the surface, Christians who have not investigated this matter are entering into this annual custom for a little bit of "harmless fun." In reality, the trick-or-treat ritual is a culturally and even church-sanctioned way for Satan to gain access to their lives and that of their children.

The Apostle Paul says that these PAGAN GODS were really DEMONS "masquerading" as God. Since Lucifer (Satan) was cast down after attempting to take the throne of the true God, he and his demons have continually deceived mankind into worshiping them as God. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 SAYS THAT Satan DISGUISES himself as an ANGEL OF LIGHT in order to deceive the unsuspecting. 2 Corinthians 4:4 says that Satan is presently the god of this world.

I personally have no problems with it. In my country in the Philippines we don’t have Halloween but we celebrate people who have gone before us w/ All Saints' Day Nov. 1 and All souls day Nov. 2 (saints in this context meaning all faithful dead, not just the canonized ones). I think Halloween is fun, but for my little ones we try to keep it non-frightening. Just lots of carved pumpkins, picking out costumes, and dressing up and play. We never tried the Treat or trick since I knew to glorifies satan. This is about Satan obtaining full power at a time when the world is not ready for it. Stop glorifying him!
I just buy bag of candy and eat together with my daughter. And we are happy for it.

TWELVE STEPS AWAY FROM CHRIST
Mr. Bill Wilson, founder of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and creator of the twelve-step program. Mr. Wilson was heavily influenced by demons.

Chapter sixteen (p. 275f) of 'Pass It On' The Story of Bill Wilson and how the A.A. message reached the world records Mr. Wilson's use of the ouija board, participation in séances, psychic events, "spook sessions", table levitation, and how he would receive "messages" from "discarnate" spirits.

Bill Wilson was clearly in contact with demons, and this is the man who created the deceptive twelve-step program.

Make a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God, as we understood Him. (Step #11. Emphasis added.) The last part of this statement ("as we understood Him") is enough to damn your soul! God says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5).

This is the exact opposite of "God as we understood Him." All men, according to Romans 1:18-32, are condemned before God, because they rely upon their own understanding (Romans 1:21; Ephesians 4:18, "having their understanding darkened"), and they create (in their own darkened minds) a god of their own making (Romans 1:23).

To encourage people to turn their "lives over to the care of God as we understood Him", is to encourage people to "turn their lives over to a god of their own making" (i.e. according to their own understanding).

This promotes nothing more than spiritual death (Revelation 22:15). In addition, these twelve steps are a deceitful attack against the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ (i.e. they are against Christ, anti-Christ, 2 John 7; Colossians 2:8-10).

The twelve steps are (as Mr. Wilson used them) given as an answer (a way) in which one can overcome sin (with Mr. Wilson's case, the sin of drunkenness).

Jesus Christ is the ONLY answer for sin. He is the only way (John 14:6). There is only ONE "step", and that is faith in the Saviour (Ephesians 2:8/Matthew1:21/John 8:36/Romans10: 13!

The above exemplifies the "twelve steps" are what are used to "become free from addictive, compulsive" behaviour (i.e. sin). In other words, the twelve steps are the saviour!

No doubt it is deceptive, because "Biblical principles" are interwoven throughout; but if they weren't, few (if any) would be deceived. One good question to ask would be, "Where does Scripture talk about any 'twelve steps'"? The answer? Nowhere!

These twelve steps come from Satan (via Bill Wilson), who is the master deceiver (Revelation 12:9). Remember, SATAN. used Scripture to tempt Christ (Matthew 4:6), and Balaam spoke much truth (Numbers 23-24); but he was a false prophet (2 Peter 2:15-16/Numbers 22).

In Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus warned, Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Jesus likewise warned in Luke 13:24, Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

As a Born-Again Christian , we don't celebrate Halloween for the reasons you stated in your post. and I also personally believe that it's not supposed to be celebrated because it is a celebration of the pagan gods who are really "demons".
Even before being Born AGain, I don't celebrate it since I find it so weird and I was skeptical why would people celebrate something that is signifying evil.

Dear Iron_Woman & Bingkee,
Thanks for sharing about your culture and that is nice to know are regarding this as a pagans culture. Satan's influence is felt when people host affairs like this for him.

Michael Patrick David,
Thank you so much for sharing that idea. It is interesting to know that when people's wit and philosophies are mingled with scriptures could come up ideas that sounds reasonable but in the sense of manipulating peoples' beliefs and the plain truth about gospel principles.

The verse "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding(Proverbs 3:5) don't suggest that trusting God is to set back and relax and let Him give you a hand to mouth direction. That will make us idle and that is contrary to what is taught as HE wants us to progress. People are prideful in nature and what God wants us to do is to reason out with Him through our prayers if the things we want is what He wanted for us. We need His guidance and direction, no matter how smart we are HE warns us that if we are not watchful, that even the elect will be deceived. Isn't that enough to rely on Him?

Also this one step [There is only ONE "step", and that is faith in the Saviour] he is referring to is not true. Jesus said 'if ye love me keep my commandments (John 14:15) and this affirms on the verse that said 'faith without work is dead' James 2:20,26. He needs to do his assignment first. He needs to read scriptures as many times as he can before introducing his new idea of deception-I won't buy one.

Keep the faith...keep the smile.

Yes, Halloween is fun! but why Halloween? I like it when kids looks fantastic in their costumes but what I don't like are those scary ones that almost look like a devil haven't realize that they are patronizing him. I mean, not in works but in their looks, so what is the difference between that?
I better stay home and keep myself warm. There's not a single item here at home for halloween other than the two pumpkin sitting outside the porch that gramma bought for the kids. And we don't want to do anything with it, it just sit there as it is. :)

Halloween is sold as, "fun" it's easy to see so many people get suck in believing there’s something happy about the phrase, "Happy" Halloween. Halloween steals the innocence from children, and that’s what is scary about Halloween.

May God bless..

Hi AngelMist and PowerUpLove,
Thank you so much for all of the nice opinion shared about Halloween. Maybe, thru this people will realize what is behind the what they called 'fun' about the subject and make a difference.

In South Africa Halloween is gaining followers. Fortunately my kids are completely unimpressed with the furore and the schools they attend have taught them the roots of this pagan festival.

Quite frankly, seeing 2 yr olds dressed up as zombies and witches makes my skin positively crawl.

Dear ScrapFan {aka Simply-Mel}: Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, yes kids look sweet with a cute outfit not with a scary one. And that is also good that the school is trying to educate them about this practice, I hope it will be taught in all school for awareness and they won't be blinded with the truth following what is handed down by the generation as part of their culture and tradition.

Keep the faith..
